This week Safeway is having a super great steal on pasta and 2 liters of Pepsi.

All Safeway brand pasta is 2 for $1. Hello???? 50 cents a box? And let me just say they have a ton of varieties. From Spaghetti to Fettucine, from Orzo to Ziti, Macaroni, Penne and Farfalle. At my local store there is three or four rows of various pasta. We dont eat a ton of pasta on a regular basis, but we all like it and when I have it, I use it. So I stocked up and bought 14 boxes. For $7. I think that is awesome.

Also in their latest flier that came out on Sunday there is some store coupons for 2 liter Pepsi products for 49 cents, limit 5 per coupon. You need to have $10 in items (before coupons and club card) to get the low price.

Last night I bought 14 boxes of pasta, 5 2liter Pepsi products, 2 Oscar Meyer Bologna (also store coupon in flier for 99 cents) and one jar of skippy PB (another store coupon for 1.49)for a total out of pocket of $9.92. My bologna ended up being free because I had two $1 off coupons I had printed and the PB only cost me 49 cents after the store coupon and manufactuer coupon I had.

My total before coupons and scanning my club card was $38.72. Like I would ever spend that much on all that food! I plan to go back and do the pepsi deal again tomorrow, as Hubs is a soda addict. I have tried to sway him to the delights of just drinking ice water like me, but he cannot be moved. So if he is gonna drink it (and we are going to pay for it) I might as well buy it when its cheap!
