So my morning did not start off well.
Before we get started let me begin by letting you know the laptop I am currently using has been miraculously resurrected, just in time for Easter Sunday.
Back to the morning...
My sweet, sweet daughter decided to be extra-specially mischevious this morning. While I was asleep she got ahold of my paperback book on my nightstand (The Nanny Diaries-good read by the way) and rip out some of the pages. Luckily her big brother discovered her shredding when she was still on the book review pages, and tattle tailed loudly enough to get me out of bed. I don't know what would possess her to hide in a corner and rip up one of my books. Shortly after this, I got up and started some breakfast for the kids and then moseyed into the bathroom to take care of a few things, ahem. While I was otherwise occupied, the little booger thought she would help me clean my laptop. Apparently she thought it was very dirty because she poured a WHOLE CUP OF WATER ON IT. Thank goodness it wasnt plugged in or even on.... otherwise we could have had a nice electric shock going on for her.
But still. I was in shock and quickly sopped up the water and tried to dry it off the bed I could. After a half and hour I tried turning it on. No luck.
Now, this particular lap top has been slowly dying the past few months. ALot of buttons, including the all important POWER button stopped working most of the time. The volume and mute button died a month ago and I can just tell it wont be long before its really dead. I think Jill just decided to speed up the process. Laptop euthanasia of sorts.
Two hours later of trying to get the... wait the monitor is flashing all sorts of fun lines ans squiggles I think the resurrection may be short lived.
