Answers to your questions about the Big Move:

Where are we moving? Fort Carson, CO. The most requested post in all the army, so yay for us! Right in Colorado Springs so no icky army towns this time around! Praise GOD!

When do you have to leave? Sometime in January we will move as a family once our solider redeploys.

Why are you not staying in Georgia? Well, the Army gave Hubs orders to go to Ft Carson about 3-4 weeks ago, and while we at first thought it was optional and decided to decline, he learned that to decline these orders was allowed, but he would be basically black listed and lose any chance to be promoted and reenlist (if we decided on that) and would probably be an easy pick to send back to Iraq. So... after praying about it we decided that Fort Carson would be okay. We are really excited now.

How long will you be in Colorado? until Oct 2011. Which means an additional 17 months more than we originally planned. It was required as a part of these orders. But we are ok with that because of the state of the economy, and it will give Hubs enough time to finish up his college so when we do get out he can get a good job with his degree.

Will you live on base? No. Wait list is long and Hubs and I want to have some stability for our 2 1/2 years there. One house, no moving or packing up again to live on base.

Will you come home to visit? As much as we are able to, plus we are hoping that the Lord will fulfill our desire for a larger home so we have an extra room for friends and family to come and visit. Hint, hint. Its not that far, really. Road trips are fun!

Will Hubs have to go back to war? It looks like a slim chance on that. He is assigned to the hospital for the next two years once we get there and it is unlikely he will be plucked from his job there to go overseas. Lord willing!
